Sabina Yesmin is a feminist, journalist, and news anchor from Bangladeshi television channel Independent Television. She previously worked in DBC News and other media outlets in Bangladesh. She has been awarded with the Prottasha Migration Media Award, an award funded by the European Union and implemented by IOM Bangladesh in partnership with BRAC, in 2016, 2019 and 2020 in recognition of her role and good reporting on migration. Her work on migrant workers’ issues were published in various foreign newspapers especially in East African country Mauritius. Sabina received a certificate on Investigative Journalism for Women Mentorship Programme which was led by Management and Resources Development Initiative (MRDI) and conducted and attended training and workshops with BBC Media Action and other media outlets. She also does volunteer work with Films 4 Peace Foundation and other migration-related organisations.
